What little I know about geography was learned from Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego? Frankly I always thought Carmen was something of a stylish trenchcoat-wearing badgirl who made a life of hiding away in exotic locations seem rather glamorous, but for an educational game it taught me dozens of things I've since forgotten, and many others that still remain.
But I digress... Caterina Maiorana is living something of a Carmen-esque life in this pictorial by Diego Diaz Marin, shot on location in Florence - one of my favourite cities. Titled Looking for Carmen San Diego it's both a play on the photographer's name and an oh-so-strikingly photographed peek into our heroine's lush Florentine hideaway.
